Overview of Offerings by Age
(Age is based on girl’s age as of December 31, 2019)

Age: 5 & 6
Commissioner: Rich Hall
This league is designed for 5 and 6 year olds who are ready to begin playing softball. Coaches will nurture the young ladies as they learn the basic fundamentals of the game. We will start slowly and gradually build over the course of the season. This is a coach pitch league.
Age: 8 & UNDER
Commissioner: Open Position
This division is player pitch with coach assistance after the first three pitches. The hitting tee has been put away and the game is scored with outs, innings and runs. The emphasis is on creating a fun and exciting environment and instilling confidence in the players while teaching them the fundamentals of the game.Age: 10 & UNDER

This is a competitive league, giving the players the opportunity to play all of the positions, including pitcher. Although coaches will do some pitching, the emphasis is on learning to pitch and to hit off a 10U pitcher.Age: 12 & UNDER
Commissioner: Geoff Lambert
This league will emphasize more advanced skills and development. We will be playing with more wide-open rules than the younger leagues. Girls do all the pitching in this league. Girls will still have the opportunity to play and learn all fielding positions.
Age: 14 & UNDER

This league will emphasize more advanced skills and development. We will be playing with more wide-open rules than the younger leagues. Girls still have the opportunity to play all fielding positions.Age: High School

This league will emphasize more advanced skills and will be playing with more wide-open rules than the younger leagues. In recent years, we have added teams from outside communities to complete a league in this age group for recreational league purposes. Pending involvement of enough teams in the league, a league championship tournament is held post-season. This league is for girls in grades 9-12 only. Freshmen, regardless of age, are asked to register for this league. Girls will NOT be allowed to “play up” from 14U.All-Stars / 8U-14U

The Fishers/HSE All-Stars teams are created from players participating in the Rec League program; All-Stars must be rostered on a Rec League team. The All-Stars program is an extension of the Recreational season for those girls wishing to get extra coaching, playing and developmental time by practicing and playing in tournaments around Central Indiana. All-Stars is intended to provide girls an opportunity to further develop skills and play at a higher level of competition than is generally offered in the Rec League (see the Fishers/HSE All-Star Section for more information).
Fall Ball / 8U-12U
Commissioner: Matt Jacques
The Fishers/HSE Fall Ball Program has been an amazing success as we extended our program into the Fall last in 2017. We over achieved our expectations and what we could accomplish in player development through the fall program. Fall Ball is meant to be a player led league where teams are equally balanced based on player abilities. The girls come together and play ball, there are no standings and no records of scores. This semi-structured format enables a chance for players to try new positions and prepares them for their next age group progression in the spring. The 10 game season finishes with a tournament and which does recognize a champion per age group.
