Fisher-HSE All-Star Showcase Teams

2020/2021 Fishers-HSE All-Star (Showcase) Softball Teams Updated: 8/26/20

Showcase team Goal

1.     Continue to develop our players in a league program designed to foster players who want a higher level of competitiveness but cannot commit to a travel schedule.

2.     Provide a program for the players to have more coaching, playing and developmental time that the Rec season typically does not offer.

3.     Provide an environment that prepares players for travel softball.

4.     Reduce erosion of players to other area softball programs.

5.     Provide a team that allows multi-sport athletes the flexibility to play other sports.

Showcase team Structure

1.     The All-Star Showcase league will have four age divisions.  Age is determined as of Dec. 31, 2020.

2.     8U: Age 7, 8.

3.     10U:  Age 9, 10.

4.     12U:  Age 11, 12.

5.     14U: Age 13, 14

6.     Advantage is that players will be more prepared to be competitive in the summer all-star tournaments.

7.     Tryout is required for placement on a team. Participation is open to girls from FISHER-HSE only.

8.     Try outs will be September 16th and 17th.

9.     All other All-Star teams will form in the spring as in previous years.

10.   Teams will play recreational softball and play in alliance Sundays in spring and All-Star tournaments in the summer.

11.    Teams cannot schedule Sunday alliance game that conflict with the Fall Rec Softball schedule.

12.    All teams are created from players participating in the Rec league program. Showcase team players must be rostered on the 2020 Rec program.

13.  Practices will be scheduled by each coach with the scheduling director.
